Teaching Kids about the Water Cycle

Anyone who has known me for any length of time knows I love to entertain children. Perhaps you’ve seen me singing kids songs in the guise of my alter ego The Soul Cowboy.

Well, 2 years ago I wrote a song for my daughter’s Brownie Troop. They were learning about the water cycle, and they asked if I would write a song about it. So, I wrote a song called The Water Cycle Song.

This year my 3rd grade daughter Carley told her teacher about the song. As a result, all the 3rd grade classes have been learning the song. I’m excited that soon I will be going to the school and having a sing-along with all the 3rd graders…and even teaching them a few dance moves!

If you’ve never heard the song, click here to go to the original blog post and give it a listen [ https://stevepederson.com/the-water-cycle-song/ ].

One of the reasons I like it is because it reminds me that soon the snows will melt and spring will bring us rain to wash away the dirty salty roads.

Enjoy!
