Recently, when I spoke to a group of freshmen at Taft High School on the north side of Chicago, I told them that their GPA was very important. That’s usually nothing new to a student, but this time I told them that ‘GPA’ stood for something completely different than what they were used to.
I’ll tell you what that is in just a second, but first…
An update on my upcoming album, The Dream Highway. I am finished with five of the nine songs, and about 80% finished with the other four songs. I’m so close! I am shooting to have the songs completed by October 1st.
My question for you is, do you have a favorite way to enjoy streaming music? For example, Pandora, Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music or maybe YouTube?
Before you answer, let me finish telling you about GPA…
I told the students that GPA stands for Gratitude and Positive Affirmations. What I encouraged them to do is something I think will benefit you as well. I suggested they keep a GPA journal.
In it what you do is start the day off by writing down one thing your grateful for, and then, at the end of the day, write down a positive affirmation about a success you had that day.
Chances are, if you just write down one thing, other things will come to mind as well. That’s the beauty of this exercise. Why not give it a try? It works wonders for me!
Now, about those music streaming platforms…do you have a favorite?
I would love to hear from you, even if it’s “I don’t stream music.”
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks!
