Have you ever been stretched to do something bigger than you’ve ever done before?
Maybe you had the opportunity to…
• Give your first public speech or
• Interview for a position you felt under-qualified for or
• Take a relationship to the next level
Maybe you felt like, though it had been done by others before, you’ve never had to do it.
Perhaps, instead of feeling like “that’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” you felt like, “that’s not that big of a deal for others (small step for mankind), but for me it’s pretty significant (one giant leap!)”
I say all this because I can relate. I have been given the opportunity to do something that is stretching me…
I have been scheduled for a big gig at the Minnesota State Fair!
I’m honored and excited, but I know I’ve got some work to do before I feel totally prepared for it.
I know it’s going to be great, and I’m sharing this with you for a few reasons…
• So I can encourage you on your journey of taking new risks,
• So I can let you know where and when it’s going to be so you can come if you’re able, and
• So I can ask you…do you know any percussionists in the Twin Cities area?
I thought it would be really fun to have someone accompany me on percussion. If you know of anyone who does that sort of thing that lives in the Twin Cities area, please let me know!
If not, no worries.
I will be performing at the TPT stage (PBS affiliate) on Sunday, September 2nd from 11am to 1pm.
