It seems like a lot of people have been asking me lately if I’m still “doing music”. They want to know what I’m up to…musically speaking.
Well, the answer is…yes. I’m still very much “doing music”. In fact, I’m inspired with new musical ideas almost every day. Often times I’ll record those ideas in Garageband.

After recording an idea like this, I’ll sort put it on the back burner for a while and come back to it at a later date. If it is still grabbing me, I may consider taking it to the next level. Not every idea is a winner, but I’m surprised by other ideas and look forward to what they might develop in to.
I think this is good practice with ideas in general. You get an idea…like buying a new car, moving to a new city or starting a serious romantic or business relationship with someone.
Well, write the idea down and come back to it at a later time. Does it still seem like a good idea 24 hours from now? A week from now? A month from now?
It could be that was a stroke of genius, or it could’ve just been an emotional impulse.
